( 1500, Portugal–1532, Mantua).

Mártir judío portugués. Nació en una familia de origen marrano, se convirtió en secretario real de un tribunal superior de justicia portuguesa. Cuando un aventurero árabe, David Reubeni (m. 1532), llegó a Portugal, visiones místicas lo convencieron que Reubeni era un mensajero del mesías. Después de circuncidarse y cambiarse el nombre, predicó la venida del mesías en Turquía, Palestina y Roma. En 1532 fue encarcelado con Reubeni por Carlos V y luego entregados a la Inquisición. Rehusó renunciar a su fe y fue quemado en la hoguera.
